Phytosanitary products are essential for protecting the seeds at emergence and at the beginning of the vegetative cycle of the plant because many diseases and insects attack at this stage (pythium, fusarium, wireworms, etc); sometimes it is the only means of control available (e.g. bunt, loose smut, ergot)

Using an effective seed treatment means applying the right dose of protection products in the right place. These treatments protect and allow the crop to take root by reducing foliar sprays that are used more frequently and at higher doses.
Applied by professionals, they free farmers from the application stage, which is often difficult and can expose them to technical and health risks.

In recent years, these products have been the subject of environmental impact studies and many active substances have been withdrawn from the market. With the establishment of dust standards in Europe, users have revised the specifications for seed treatment applications and are careful to maintain a low level of environmental risk.
We are witnessing an increase in the use of so-called “biological” products which include bio-control solutions, suggesting that tomorrow’s solutions will not come only from synthetic chemistry but will also be natural in origin.
